What is Atomçk?

Atomçk are a grindcore band from the UK.

We are based around Wales and the South West of England, specifically Bristol and Newport. We are a completely DIY band with basically no public interest.

What kind of music do you play?

Grindcore! By which we mean short, fast and loud songs. Atomçk has a drums/guitar/vocal  (i.e. no bass) setup in the Discordance Axis / Pig Destroyer mould.

Who is in the band?

Linus: vocals, Luke: guitar, Marzena: drums.  The lineup has changed over the years with various folks coming and going. There has never been any acrimony just people's lifes and situations change: it's part and parcel of being a DIY band.

How long have you guys been going?

We started writing music in the mid 2000's and have been playing live since 2006.

How the hell do you pronounce the name???

That would be telling now, wouldn't it? PRO TIP: it's not 'atomic' or 'atomics'...

Why does the name Atomçk display all sort of messed up?

You have the wrong encoding settings, it should be UNICODE (UTF-8).

Wait, weren't you that shitty drum machine band?

Yep, Atomçk began life as a digi grind project heavily inspired by the awesome Agoraphobic Nosebleed. Eventually things evolved into a fully live band. We still love cybergrind and all it's variants however it is a more fulfilling experience to work with a human drummer instead of software :)

Do you have any releases, and where can I buy them?

Yes we do, as detailed in the main page of this website. We offer all our music for free download and it is also availible in various reality formats as well- check the 'click to buy' links. We apologise but much of our stuff was made by hand in short runs so probably sold out / given away / binned ages ago.

Why do you give all your music away for nothing?

Death to the music industry!

Well... you can't fight downloading so why not embrace it!

So.... you aren't signed then?

Nope. Our last 7" came out on a number of underground labels around the globe and we have various forthcoming releases on GRINDCORE KARAOKE which is run by the all-round decent chap J Randall.

Right... Can I sign Atomçk then?

Possibly... if you run a label we can almost certainly licence a recording new or old for you, you won't be owning the music however :P

Do you chumps ever play outside the UK?

Yes we have toured Europe and intend to do so as regularly as possible, we are also very interested in other parts of the world  (offers on a postcard) wherever people like loud fast rubbish shoved in them.

In 2011 we were hounred to play the biggest extreme music festival OBSCENE EXTREME. You should know what it is already.
